Gourmet Traveller – Winner of 2016 New Hotel of the Year And the Award goes to…

Gourmet Traveller, Australia’s premier food, travel and lifestyle magazine hosted the 2016 Gourmet Traveller Australian Hotel Guide Awards and awarded COMO The Treasury, which forms part of the COMO Hotels & Resort Group, as the Winner of the 2016 New Hotel of the Year and Winner of 2016 Hotel of the Year.

As a luxury hotel in Perth, COMO The Treasury is located in Perth’s 140 year old colonial State building on the corner of St Georges Terrace and Barrack Street. The hotel which accommodates 48 state of the art guest rooms and suites also features restaurants, a bar, lounge and library, gym and 20 m indoor pool. A team of 20 reviewers anonymously visited the hotels and concluded by choosing COMO The Treasury as the winner after a $110 million restoration which blended old colonist architecture with western Australian hospitality.
