Government Launches K30m Fund for Artistes

The Zambian government announced that it would be launching a K30 million youth empowerment programme in order to aid and inspire artistes all across the nation. This countrywide movement is expected to launch in Lusaka soon. According to President Edgar Lungu, the economy of Zambia has suffered greatly at the hands of the worldwide COVID-19 Pandemic. As such, he assured that the government was taking appropriate measures to mitigate this issue as much as possible.

The K30m is set to be launched under the supervision of the National Arts Council. The President has urged the youth of the country to take advantage of the opportunities presented to them by the government during these trying times.
