It’s more good news for travellers who have decided to spend their next holiday in the Maldives! On the 14th of March this year, the islands did away with the public health emergency that was applied due to the pandemic. Along with that, fully vaccinated travellers no longer need to submit PCR tests before arrival or departure from the island.
Although this is so, those planning holidays at Maldives island resorts, the likes of Velassaru Maldives are expected to follow the rest of the health rules for the prevention of the virus. Filling out the health declaration form and submitting it 2 days prior to arrival in the country is also a must. A huge boost in tourism is now expected in the country in the months to come.
