Great Singapore Sale – ‘Shopathon’ in the Lion City

An annual event that attracts hordes of shoppers from within the country and from abroad, the Great Singapore Sale (GSS) kick-started on 29th May and is scheduled to run up to 26th July. Visitors can expect to enjoy a wide range of discounts at the country’s main malls and stores with prices slashed up to 70% on an array of items. An ideal option for shopaholics would be to stay at centrally located Singapore 5 star hotels such as The Westin Singapore which provide easy access to many of the shopping hubs that are a part of the Great Singapore Sale.

Put together by the Singapore Retailers Association, GSS is particularly popular with those interested in fashion with savings available on everything from designer-wear to top international brands, while discounts are also available on jewellery, electronics, toys and more. Among the shopping hotspots where one can enjoy the Great Singapore Sale include Orchard Road, Chinatown, Marina Bay, Little India and Kampong Glam.
