Although the tourism sector of almost every country in the world was badly affected by the COVID -19 outbreak, all economies are gradually getting back on track. Thus the tourism sector also sees positive progress and to facilitate the same, the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) recently issued a set of guidelines to ensure safe and seamless travel.
These guidelines include quick and reliable tests when and wherever required and also tracing mechanisms as well. These will be in effect when a traveller visits Sri Lanka as well and every luxury hotel in Colombo the likes of Cinnamon Grand Colombo will also follow the relevant guidelines for them. From travellers’ side, it is expected that they will grant their fullest support by revealing their medical history records and travel plans during their tours.
