Hervey Bay Ocean Festival – bringing communities together

Preparations are made for one of the biggest spectacles which draws communities from all over Australia and also travellers from across the globe to Brisbane. Know what all the fuss is about? It’s time for the Hervey Bay Ocean Festival; nine days of fun and frolic for the whole family which begins on Friday, the 11th of August 2017. Visitors can delight in the traditions of the ‘Blessing of the Feet’ before settling into the festivities of the Seafood Festival where prawn eating competitions and cooking demonstrations will be held. Also not to be outdone will be the Whale Parade and free concert. The latter will showcase a selection of some of Australia’s leading artists. For those of you wanting to be a part of celebrations of this nature, a good way would be to book into any of the Brisbane hotels in CBD among the many choices such as iStay River City.
