Hoi An Open for Foreign Travellers – Tourism Getting Back on Track

The popular destination of Hoi An has been welcoming international travellers once more following Vietnam’s full reopening in March this year for tourism and international flights resuming in Da Nang. On 5th April 2022, 126 US tourists were the first visitors here following the reopening; they explored the Ancient Town and travelled by boat to the Thanh Ha Pottery Village, among the most popular things to do in Hoi An. This historical town, located close to properties like Anantara Hoi An Resort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and continues to be a top draw in the country.

It is hoped that as more tourists arrive, the image of this destination being friendly and safe will spread and attract more travellers in the months to come. Of course, Hoi An is already a much-loved place to visit and as part of the annual Traveller Review Award 2022 by Booking.com, it was voted as being amongst the “10 Most Welcoming Cities on Earth”. It has additionally been selected by the likes of CNN as being one of the world’s most romantic destinations as well.
