Hong Kong Given Key Accolade by Xiaohongshu – Named ‘Destination Most-Loved by Users’

Hong Kong’s status as a must-visit destination for mainland tourists has received a significant boost; it was recently named the “Destination Most-loved by Users – Highflyer of the Year” by Xiaohongshu, a powerhouse social media platform with around 200 million active users. This prestigious accolade was announced at the Xiaohongshu Cultural and Tourism Development Summit in Quanzhou, Fujian on 10th April 2024. This reinforced Hong Kong’s position as a top travel choice based on user searches and engagement on the platform.

Furthermore, the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) has formed a strategic partnership with Xiaohongshu, fostering a strong collaboration to promote tourism in the region. Plans have also been made to develop fresh content on Xiaohongshu featuring prominent Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) from both mainland China and Hong Kong. They will delve into the colourful local culture, sharing authentic experiences and insights through engaging user-generated content which, in turn, will inspire those from the mainland to visit as well.

With its enduring appeal, this destination remains a top destination for global travellers who can look to stay at a Tsim Sha Tsui-based Kowloon hotel in Hong Kong. A key entertainment and business district home to properties like Park Hotel Hong Kong, Tsim Sha Tsui makes an ideal base for visitors including Xiaohongshu users eager to experience the city and share their discoveries.
