Hong Kong Targeting Tourism Revival

Hopes of Kick-Staring the Industry

Following months of declining tourist arrivals due to the COVID-19 pandemic and border restrictions, Hong Kong is hoping to revive the industry. However, this all depends on the prevailing situation regarding this global pandemic and its spread. In anticipation of the easing of cross-border restrictions for travellers, tour agencies are already featuring early bird deals; many of these offers run from September 2020 to the beginning of 2021 to destinations like Dubai.

As international visitor numbers are down, the government is also pushing the promotion of domestic tourism which will hopefully boost the hospitality industry. Be it exploring The Peak or enjoying luxurious accommodation at a Kowloon hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui the likes of Park Hotel Hong Kong there is much to enjoy. Additionally, it will be hoped numbers from destinations such as Mainland China will also begin to increase.
