Hot Docs Festival 2024 Set to Launch in Toronto – Documentary Filmmaking in the Spotlight

Calling all documentary enthusiasts, cinephiles, and truth-seekers! The wait is over – the largest documentary festival in North America, the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival, is all set to commence in Toronto once again. Mark your calendars for a cinematic journey of discovery from 25th April to 5th May 2024. Gear up for 11 days of more than 200 documentaries from across the globe, each one ready to transport you, challenge your perspectives, and ignite your curiosity.

Hot Docs Ted Rogers Cinema, the first and largest documentary cinema (and a century-old Toronto landmark) in the world, will be the heart of the festival. It can be easily accessed from properties like Pan Pacific Toronto which makes an ideal base for your visit. This year, the Hot Docs Festival will be honouring visionary filmmaker, Raoul Peck from Haiti with the prestigious Outstanding Achievement Award. Additionally, Canadian cinematographer, Iris Ng, will be taking centre stage in the annual Focus On programme, highlighting her remarkable contributions to the art form.
