ICONSIAM reveals plans to turn Bangkok Riverside into must-see travel destination – Bangkok’s riverside gets a makeover!

The ‘River of Kings’ is a crucial part of Thai history and culture. ICONSIAM plans to revamp the beauty of Bangkok’s river side by engaging with 20 historic and archaeological sites, 50 upscale hotels; like Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort along with 200 luxury residential, tour boat operators and ferries in its project.

With project completion set for 2017, this riverfront will hold a mix of retail, residential, entertainment, art and cultural space and will be known as the Seven Wonders of ICONSIAM. Each new attraction will be featured in any Bangkok travel guide; such as an indoor floating market named Venice of the East, The ICONSIAM Heritage Museum, retail stores spanning out 500,000 sq. meters, a 3000 seat auditorium built for concerts, conventions and performances and Thailand’s first 3 star Michelin restaurant which will add just the right amount of sophistication to the river side.
