India claims Third-Highest spot for Tourist Market to Singapore – Recent numbers prove

Singapore experienced an increase in Indian tourist arrivals in the last months, with the surge propelling India to become Singapore’s third-largest source of tourists, surpassing Malaysia and Australia. The data, released by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB), highlighted that Malaysia ranked fourth with 88,641 arrivals, while Australia secured the fifth position with 88,032 visitors for the month of October 2022.

Singapore’s tourism landscape in 2023 displayed seasonal trends, with a boost in July and August from inbound Chinese arrivals, followed by a tapering off in September and October, aligning with pre-pandemic patterns. The total visitor arrivals for 2023 stood at 11.3 million, slightly below the STB’s expected range of 12 million to 14 million for the full year – with establishments like a hotel near Bugis such as the well-known Hotel 81 Lavender benefiting from arrivals and tourist incomes.
