As reported in the Colombo Gazette on the 3rd of June 2022, India was recognised as one of Sri Lanka’s main source markets for tourism. In a mission to promote the country’s tourism sector in the midst of economic challenges, Sri Lanka Tourism participated in SATTE Travel Fair held in India from 18th to 20th May 2022. The Sri Lankan participation at the fair included 65 travel industry members that identified India as a major source market for the growth of Sri Lanka’s tourism industry.
