Indonesia plans to launch a Digital Nomad Visa for their popular travel destination, Bali in the upcoming days. The visa will allow remote workers to live in Bali for up to 5 years tax-free, under the condition that their income will come from outside Indonesia. This initiative is said to bring more than 3.6 million travellers to Bali and create 1 million job opportunities locally. The aim is to get them to explore spiritual retreats as well as the eco-tourism of Indonesia during their stay in Bali.
As more travellers are expected to arrive in Bali, it is likely that the best luxury resorts in Bali such as Nirjhara will experience more bookings in the years to come. The approach was introduced after thorough research where 95% of remote workers chose Indonesia as their remote-work destination.
