At the Outbound Travel Mart 2020 held from the 3rd to the 5th of February 2020 in Mumbai, India, Sri Lanka was able to win the hearts of many Indian tourists and presenters. The Sri Lankan booth was tastefully designed and became a mega hit with 43 industry participants.
The reason the country stood out among other locations thanks to unique properties like a Sinharaja eco lodge. Sri Lanka is popular for luxury resorts that are both adventurous and aesthetically designed as well as some of the most luxurious hotels in the world. An example brought up at OTM was The Rainforest Ecolodge and how it incorporates nature seamlessly into the vacation. Places like this were highlighted by the industry experts while showcasing the trends that point out how tourists are more likely to look for unconventional experiences such as this.
