Indian tourists flock to the Maldives again! – recapturing the main tourist market

India was one of the main countries in the world that was badly hit by the Delta variant of COVID 19. Due to this negative situation, many countries including the Maldives temporarily closed their borders to Indian travellers. However, the Maldives has recently decided to allow Indians to come to the country.

India is one of the biggest tourist markets for the Maldives. Every Maldives beach resort the likes of The Residence Maldives Dhigurah used to receive higher amounts of family and business holidaymakers from India. Hotels, travel agents, and flight operators have mentioned that Indians have already made inquiries and booked their Maldives tours and that it’s a positive sign. All travellers will be required to present a negative PCR test result report upon arrival, whether they have or not taken the vaccine in full.
