An event that looked to promote and highlight the bilateral relations between India and Sri Lanka when it comes to trade, the Indian Trade Fair Colombo was recently held in the island’s commercial capital. The event took place from 7th to 9th May at the Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre. Such trade fairs can be organised by a number of event management specialists in the country such as Aitken Spence Travels which also offers Sri Lanka tours and travels.
An event that gave industry professionals from both countries a chance to network, the Indian Trade Fair Colombo featured a wide range of products from India including clothing, books, food, lighting equipment, telecommunications, fishing equipment and more. This year’s event which was the 9th such trade fair was held under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce in Sri Lanka, Champika Premadasa and Acting High Commissioner for India in the country, Arindam Bagchi.
