IndiGo enhanced its international network by launching direct flights from Bengaluru to Mauritius, its 35th international destination and second in Africa. The service, operating four times weekly, began on November 19 2024, offering a convenient travel option for leisure and business travellers. The inaugural flight lasted approximately five and a half hours, reflecting IndiGo’s commitment to catering to the rising demand for tourism and strengthening economic ties between the two regions.
The new route connects Bengaluru to Port Louis, Mauritius, a destination known for its pristine beaches and cultural richness. Travellers can enjoy proximity to hotels near Mauritius Airport, such as the luxurious Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort & Villas, providing an ideal base for exploring the island’s scenic beauty. With its blend of natural charm and business opportunities, Mauritius remains a compelling choice for diverse travel purposes.
