Indonesia’s Tourism Minister expects economic ‘Blessing’ from Asean Summit – Hoping for the Invigoration of tourist activity

Hosting the international 43rd ASEAN summit in Jakarta, representatives of the tourism industry and government are keeping their fingers crossed for increased economic activity as a bonus to the summit – stating an economic revival to be part of the plan to benefit the local community through trade, and creative endeavour.

Speaking of the country’s capability to host international visitors, the representatives also noted that major events could be hosted within Indonesian borders, supporting the benefits of many locations in the country, such as the desire for a Bali cliff hotel amongst the many visitors to the region. To that end, properties such as the Anantara Uluwatu Bali Resort could perhaps expect increased bookings and traffic, following the hosting of the event – and other businesses are expected to benefit as well.
