Integrated Tourism Digital Platform (ITDP) Implement in Sri Lanka – Improvements on the Way

The new Integrated Tourism Digital Platform (ITDP) was implemented in Sri Lanka with the expectation of increasing revenue from tourism and improving the industry as a whole. Apart from integrated tourism & travel analytics some of the other key aspects of the platform include security screening of travellers, tourist insurance and integrated global airlines information.

This is all a part of the Sri Lanka Tourism Strategic Plan from 2017-2020 which had an initial goal of increasing revenue from the tourism industry to seven billion US dollars; providing more local tourism sector jobs and increasing the daily amount spent by foreign travellers are amongst the other objectives of this plan. The country has much to offer tourists from diverse experiences to a range of accommodation options be it a beach resort, a Colombo City hotel the likes of Colombo Court Hotel & Spa or a hill country bungalow
