International Conference on Leisure & Tourism in Colombo – A Key Event for the Industry

Organised by the Global Academic Research Institute, the International Conference on Leisure and Tourism is scheduled to be held this month in Sri Lanka’s commercial capital, Colombo. It will take place from 26th to 27th August 2021 at the Galle Face Hotel and will be beneficial for those in the leisure, tourism and hospitality sectors. This year marks the event’s second edition and it will be held under the theme, “Responsible Tourism and Pandemic Outbreak”.

Featuring discussions, speeches and the presentation of reports and research findings, the conference will be streamed live on Facebook and offers international delegates a chance to join virtually, using Zoom. With foreigners looking to once again travel to Sri Lanka after the reopening of borders, such events are key to help the industry prepare for the future; additionally, is the need to cater for both international and domestic tourists and promoting the country through travel sites such as Truly Sri Lanka plays an important role in this.
