International Flights Begin to Victoria – Travel Bubble with New Zealand Also Launched

In April this year, Victoria in Australia once more welcomed international flights following the revamp of the state’s hotel quarantine programme and procedures; this included increased security checks and testing. The first of such flights arrived on 8th April 2021 from Colombo, Sri Lanka and passengers were taken to a property in Melbourne to spend their two-week quarantine.

Another positive development in April 2021 was the launch of quarantine-free travel between New Zealand and Australia; this gave those from the two countries a chance to finally travel across borders and was well received. Victoria is amongst the Australian states that are trying to get back on track following the global COVID-19 pandemic and has implemented stringent health regulations including for accommodation; be it for a stay in the Melbourne CBD or the nearby suburb of Box Hill, hotel options including properties like Avani Melbourne Box Hill Residences follow enhanced hygiene and safety standards too.
