International Flights to the Maldives on the Rise

Flights from China Also Commence

As countries around the world reduce their travel restrictions, the Maldives has been welcoming more international flights and tourists looking to enjoy tropical getaways once more. By the end of December last year, the country had 33 international operating flights catering to the growing demand of travellers looking to stay at the best resorts in Maldives; these include private island properties the likes of Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives that provide safe stays along with the best this destination has to offer.

International airlines flying to the Maldives include Fly Dubai, Singapore Airlines, ITA Airways, Saudia, Aeroflot, Turkish Airlines and more. The number has further increased this year with China relaxing its travel restrictions paving the way for Chinese airlines to commence operations here as well. In January 2023, Beijing Capital Airlines became the first Chinese airline to arrive in the Maldives since the pandemic with China Eastern Airlines, Southern Airlines and Hong Kong Airlines expected to start soon.
