International Influencers Help Promote Sri Lanka

Utilising Social Media Reach

Though closed for tourists at the moment, Sri Lanka is still taking pro-active steps to promote itself as a key holiday destination; travellers are on the lookout for places for a post-COVID-19 holiday and Sri Lanka Tourism has enlisted the help of international travel influencers to boost the country’s profile. These influencers were previously enlisted in the country’s Visiting Blogger Programme and as part of the campaign, they continue to post on social media the many allures of the island; this will also help remind travellers of the unique things to see and do when the island opens once more.

This strategy mentioned in last month’s Daily FT online edition highlighted the fact that there is much for travellers to discover be it nature, culture or wildlife in Sri Lanka. Resort and hotel options also abound with properties like Habarana Village by Cinnamon providing guests ideal bases from which to enjoy these experiences.
