International Maldives Travel Market now to be held on 16th & 17th of November 2020 – A Gathering of International Buyers

Despite the severe challenges faced by the Maldives travel industry in the wake of the COVID19 pandemic, the country is pulling out all the stops to ensure that it pulls through. As almost 100% of international revenue to the islands comes from tourism, this has been no easy task.

But in October, the country announced that it would be hosting the International Maldives Travel Market. It was held successfully on the 16th and 17th of November 2020, bringing together travel agents, tour operators, destination management companies as well as many a Maldives resort the likes of Kurumba Maldives. Under the banner “Reconnect, Revive and Grow,” the industry gurus discussed how they might boost the tourism industry in 2021 and beyond.
