To celebrate International Photography Day which fell on 19th August 2019, the Alliance Française de Kandy organised a special photography contest. As per the contest rules, those who wished to take part had to submit five photographs each and the competition categories were Celebrations, Pet Lover and Travel. The 12 best photographs that were selected will be featured in the Alliance Française de Kandy calendar of 2020.
Additionally, the winning entries were also showcased as part of a special exhibition that ran from 23rd August to 20th September 2019 at the Alliance Française de Kandy, the only official French Language and Cultural Centre in the hill capital; it is located within a 10 minute drive from Earl’s Regent Kandy and is easy to reach for those staying at such a centrally located Kandy hotel.
