Island Paradises: Maldives and Seychelles Lure Tourists with Visa-Free Entry and Breathtaking Beauty

The Maldives and Seychelles, renowned for their pristine beaches and turquoise waters, are attracting a surge of tourists seeking visa-free escapes. This welcoming policy has significantly bolstered their tourism industries.

The Maldives, a leader in tourist arrivals, boasts stunning resorts like Grand Park Kodhipparu Maldives, captivating visitors for an average stay of 7-8 days.  Tourists primarily hail from China, Russia, the UK, Italy, Germany, and India, seeking bespoke experiences from some of the best luxury Maldives resorts.

Seychelles, while offering similar visa-free entry, saw a smaller number of visitors in 2023, with Seychelles International Airport serving as a key gateway. However, the island nation’s tourism sector displays positive growth prospects, fueled by advancements in technology and a stable tourism environment.

Tourism plays a vital role in both economies, contributing a significant portion of the GDP – 30% in the Maldives and a slightly higher 31% in Seychelles. The Maldives, in particular, has witnessed substantial growth due to strategic tax increases.

Both island destinations prioritize sustainable tourism practices to safeguard their exquisite ecosystems and cultural heritage. In Seychelles, luxury hotels like Raffles Seychelles and Kempinski Seychelles Resort elevate the hospitality experience, further solidifying the island’s allure for international travellers.
