It’s Marathon Time in Mauritius Again!

The Mauritius Marathon will be held on Sunday the 14th of July 2019 in the South of the Island. It is an AIMS and IAAF certified challenge set on 20 kilometres of beautiful coastal road of Le Morne and Bel Ombre, along a gorgeous lagoon and idyllic coastal villages. The finish line is the beach of Saint Felix. Runners may choose to run the full marathon, the Half-Marathon or 10 km races. While competitive, the races are more focused on self-discovery and exploring the beauty of Mauritius.

In 2018, runners from 44 countries took part in the marathon with Jin Yuan of China setting the Mauritius Marathon record and Laurent Tsang-Chun-Sze of Reunion setting the Men’s record for 10 km.

Potential competitors have a wide range of hotels in East Mauritius to choose from during their stay on the island. For example, The Residence Mauritius by Cenizaro is only about an hour away.
