Jamaica is set to host the 42nd edition of the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s (CHTA) Caribbean Travel Marketplace from May 20 to 22, 2024. With its rich musical legacy, including reggae and dancehall, and delectable cuisine featuring robust flavours and locally sourced ingredients, Jamaica offers visitors a unique and unforgettable experience.
CHTA President Nicola Madden-Greig expressed gratitude to the Jamaican government, Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett, and the Jamaica Hotel & Tourist Association (JHTA) for their support in hosting this premier event. Minister Bartlett highlighted Jamaica’s resilience and commitment to recovery, emphasizing the importance of the marketplace in driving tourism growth. The event not only facilitates business transactions but also provides a platform for media engagement and showcases the diverse experiences of Jamaica and the wider Caribbean region. With the upcoming Marketplace 42, attendees who take regional Caribbean flights with airlines such as InterCaribbean Airways can look forward to an enhanced visitor experience and further collaboration to promote tourism in the region.
