It has emerged that Japan has become one of the key countries that British tourists are looking to travel to this year, as they look to avoid some of the overcrowded and overpriced destinations in Europe. This was put in the spotlight on the Travel And Tour World website on 24th February 2025, which also mentioned that such travellers are searching for unique experiences, cultural discoveries and ‘affordable luxury’.
Referring to search data from January 2025, analysed by Reboot Online (a Digital PR agency), it further revealed that British travellers searched for ‘Japan’ a total of 25,646 times during that month; notably, this was a 42% increase over the same period last year. Amongst the key allures of the Land of the Rising Sun were its cultural highlights, cherry blossom and autumn seasons and favourable exchange rate with the British pound.
Of course, Japan has much more to offer as well and has become a popular destination for outdoor summer activities and winter fun at places like Niseko. Accommodation options in this enchanting town of Hokkaido, such as Chatrium Niseko Japan, can no doubt also look forward to more British visitors this year, eager to experience the diverse attractions and adventures on offer.
