Japan Expo Premier in Sri Lanka – in support of regional development

The Japan Expo Premier Sri Lanka 2017 was recently held at BMICH in Colombo on the 3rd, 4th and 5th of February. According to organisers, the main three objectives of the Japan Expo Sri Lanka were regional betterment, cultural exposure and providing more opportunities to small and medium organisations. The Expo was also a stage for cultural exchange relating to information and practices between the two countries, like Ayurveda. Interest in the traditional healing practices has grown over recent years, with many establishments catering to foreigners keen on learning Ayurveda; like the Jetwing Ayurveda Pavilions, one of the many established Ayurveda hotel in Sri Lanka. Other cultural practices included Japanese flower arrangement and tea ceremonies. The Japan Expo Premier Sri Lanka 2017was jointly organised by the Sri Lankan Embassy in Japan and the Japanese Embassy in Sri Lanka.
