Showcasing some of the biggest names in the foreign and local jazz scene, the recently concluded Java Jazz Festival offered jazz fans a unique opportunity to enjoy the varying styles of this popular genre of music. The festival which ran from 6th to 8th March 2015, was held at the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo); those interested in finding accommodation within easy reach of the venue in order to catch similar shows can consider nearby apartment hotels Jakarta has to offer such as Citadines Rasuna Jakarta.
The 11th Java Jazz Festival attracted a star studded line-up of musicians including notable international artistes such as Bobby McFerrin, Christina Perri, Jessie J and Chaka Khan (feat. Incognito). An integral part of the festival is the Indonesian musicians and bands which also participate and Benny Likumahuwa, Donny Suhendra and Rendy Pandugo were amongst the local names that performed here. Also part of the festival was Java Jazz On The Move, a special series of pre-events where artistes performed at venues across the city as part of a promotion campaign.
