Journalists and Bloggers Join Hands to Promote SL Tourism – Experiencing Serene Splendours in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka tourism has seen a refreshing improvement in the last few months, mainly attracting visitors via international travel influencers and journalists. The global audience was extended to more than 5.5 million using social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter and travel news sites. These media promotions are expected to bring a value of more than 71 million rupees to the island.

The media delegation was welcomed to the island by the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau at Mount Lavinia Hotel. The delegation explored popular cities contributing to Sri Lanka tourism including Colombo, Nuwara Eliya, Galle, Seethawaka, and Kandy. Beach resorts in Galle, villas in Nuwara Eliya, and bungalows in Kandy such as the famous Mountbatten Bungalow were highlighted during these visits.
