Khareef Season Brings More Tourists to Salalah

As reported recently by the online edition of the Times of Oman, Salalah experienced a notable influx of visitors and tourists during the annual Khareef season. This tourist season generally starts in June and continues till September with visitors having the option of staying at Salalah hotels including the likes of Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara along the coast.
According to the National Centre of Statistics and Information (NCSI), this year’s Khareef season saw close to 750,000 people visiting Salalah to beat the heat and enjoy the cooler weather and lush landscapes. The majority of this number consisted of Omani visitors who made up a little over 70%; 7.8% were from the United Arab Emirates, while 9.8% were made up of other nationals from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
