Kitesurfing Campaign: Saving the Oceans “South to North” – Excitement While Serving a Good Cause

The exploration journey across the whole of Maldives “Dhekunun Uthurah” meaning “South to North” was inaugurated recently with a cleaning event on the island. The inauguration ceremony had the presence of the Mayor of Addu City Abdulla Sodiqu and Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports and Community Empowerment Mohamed Azmeel.

As the coastal area is mostly occupied by Maldives beach resort authorities the likes of Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi, they were also contributors for this community service project where all of the staff together with the local communities took part in the event. This community service project was designed as a part of the main event- the kitesurfing session contributed by the local champs: Simbe, Hambe and Delio and the world champ Youri Zoon with the objective of setting a few records by completion.
