The Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, has been named the world’s second friendliest city; this is according to a recent online report on the New Straits Times which was citing a list put out by Big 7 Travel of “The World’s 50 Friendliest Cities 2019”. The number one place on the list was Vancouver, Canada which was adjudged the friendliest city in the world. Kuala Lumpur was only one of two Asian cities in the top 10 with Taipei, Taiwan coming in at number four.

The findings were part of a survey conducted that featured a 1.5 million social audience and included questions pertaining to aspects such as friendliness towards strangers and helping them with directions. Be it staying at a budget hostel or luxury hotel Kuala Lumpur has to offer including the likes of Alila Bangsar, travellers can look forward to a hospitable experience in the city.
