With tourist travel expected to resume in the Surat Thani province in Thailand starting from July 2021, Koh Phangan will be hoping that this will lead to more arrivals to the island as well. Next month will see the launch of the “Samui Wonder Island” travel scheme in the Surat Thani island of Koh Samui targeting tourists who have received the full dose of a COVID-19 vaccination.
They will have to submit to a rapid swab test for the virus on the second or third day as well as the seventh day of their stay. If the results of these tests are negative, tourists have the option of not only travelling around Koh Samui but to nearby Koh Phangan as well. They can choose to stay at a resort Koh Phangan has to offer that follows strict measures to maintain health and hygiene; this includes properties like Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas where guest safety is a priority.
