Oman is one of the world’s leading holiday destinations and just like the rest of the countries, tourism fell due to the pandemic. Still, Oman is now making plans for recovery. Haitham bin Mohammed Al-Ghassan, the Tourism Minister, stated that each year, the number of overseas tourists would increase. This alone was enough motivation for Oman’s tourism industry to search for more ways to keep travellers comfortable.
Activities in Oman are in plenty and in order to highlight these activities, The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism in the Sultanate of Oman had a digital workshop. This was focused on the history and the diversity of tourist destinations within the country. Oman Hotels and other properties have prepared themselves with the right equipment and follow the guidelines of the new norm to help guests be as safe as possible.
