Langkasuka International Folklore Festival
The highly anticipated Langkasuka International Folklore Festival of Art in Langkawi, Malaysia, has been postponed to 2025. Originally slated to take place in September this year, organisers of the event have announced on the official Facebook page that issues regarding sponsorships, international delegates, and similar matters have contributed to its postponement.
The organisers have expressed their commitment to rescheduling the festival at a suitable time in 2025 and look forward to welcoming visitors from around the world to this vibrant cultural event, hosted on Malaysia’s premier island getaway. With a successful run last year, the 3-day festival will feature performances by folk groups across all ages, as well as a bazaar and family-friendly activities.
Due to the small size of the island, the venue will be accessible to most, whether guests choose to stay at a cosy, budget accommodation near Langkawi town, or the best 4-star hotel in Langkawi which extends to smaller, off-shore islands such as Rebak Island Resort & Marina, Langkawi.
