As reported on God Save the Points on the 5th of June 2022, Thailand has made the lives of travellers of budget and luxury hotels in Phuket as well other areas much simpler than before. While the travel restrictions have become quite a standard procedure, it still carries more red tape than other tourism-driven countries. Therefore, tourists hoping to arrive for a vacation in Anantara Layan Phuket Resort will still be required to carry a Thailand pass and USD 10,000 medical coverage for the trip.
However, the process for obtaining the Thailand Pass has been sped up, avoiding all the lags that were faced before by tourists who attempted to obtain it earlier. As of 1st June 2022, the pass could be obtained in a matter of minutes, not days or weeks as reported earlier by tourists, making access to the country swifter and simpler.
