Macau Literary Festival – Celebrating Literature & the Arts

Bringing together writers from China as well as Portuguese speaking countries, the 4th edition of the Macau Literary Festival will take place from 19th to 29th March, 2015. The festival which will feature well known writers, visual artists, publishers and even filmmakers will be made up of a series of events to be held at venues across Macau including the Dom Pedro V Theatre, University of Macau and Sir Robert Ho Tung Library. Initially founded in 2012 by Ponto Final, which is a local newspaper, the festival has gone from strength to strength and this year’s edition will feature popular names such as Francisco José Viegas, Wang Anyi, Ondjaki and Wong Bik-wan. Children’s literature will be a key highlight at the festival, while there is a musical concert scheduled too with performances by LMF from Hong Kong, Brazil’s Gabriel o Pensador and Blademark from Macau.
