Malaysia launches 10-year tourism plan – Strengthening an important economic sector

Malaysia lost over 100-billion-ringgit last year due to the Corona Virus pandemic from the tourism sector. It was one of the main income-generating sources to Malaysia back then but now is at a suffering stage.

Malaysia had set up all plans to launch its ‘Visit Malaysia 2020’ program through which they had hopes to bring 30 million travellers from all around the world. This time, having considered the pandemic situation, it has launched a 10-year policy program from 2020 to 2030. More consideration will be given to developing the eco-tourism sector in Malaysia under this plan. If this plan works out, all Langkawi beach chalets the likes of Pelangi Beach Resort & Spa will have a prosperous time again with international guests.
