Several tourism industry professionals have encouraged the Malaysian government to boost their efforts to develop technology, digitalisation and marketing in 2025. It is believed that the promotion of the country’s tourist attractions through these means would help further the “Cuti-Cuti Malaysia Campaign’.

The Malaysia Inbound Chinese Association suggested several areas that needed more focus and improvement, including more emphasis on digital marketing and increased direct flights into the country. Additionally, the Malaysian Inbound Tourism Association has called for more funding for the tourism sector for 2025 and the development of the country’s MICE sector. They also highlighted the importance of further promoting the country’s tourist destinations and attractions.

Areas in Malaysia such as Ipoh have several cultural attractions offered by hotels like Travelodge Ipoh to encourage tourists to explore the country’s cultural heritage. This extends to any hotel in Ipoh Perak that promotes the city’s unique value. Such promotions, when combined with both digital and traditional marketing strategies, would effectively attract more investors and visitors, thus boosting the country’s tourism sector.
