By the end of the first half of 2024, Thailand remains on track to meet its target number of tourist arrivals of 35 million visitors for the year owing to a surge in arrivals during that time. Additionally, this uptake in arrivals has created a boost for local airline companies. When reporting its earnings for the first half of the year, Thai Airways cited the country’s overall tourism rebound as a major contributing factor to its revenue growth, keeping the airline profitable despite increasing pressures of cost.
