Moody’s Investors Service provided that the credit profile of the Maldives government is supported by the growth of the economic and tourism sector of the country. This healthy increase in the said sectors is a result of the budget allocations and current account deficits. It was further established that the country’s small size and the narrow economic span have a tendency of making it vulnerable to natural disasters.
