Maldives Eliminates Testing Requirements for Vaccinated International Travellers

Making way for an increase in tourism

The pandemic is now in its third year and despite the emergence of the Omicron variant in recent months, the fear that surrounds the virus has diminished. The Maldives was also one of the countries that were able to bring the virus under control sooner than the rest of the world. As of March 5th, 2022, Maldives is officially accepting fully vaccinated tourists without a prior PCR requirement.

While this is true, many a resort in Maldives the likes of Reethi Faru Resort still provide facilities for PCR tests when necessary. The Maldives will now be able to see a better recovery when it comes to the tourism industry. Completing the Health Declaration Form is still a mandatory requirement before your flight to the islands.
