Maldives International Marathon 2022 – Annual Running Festival
The most popular annual running festival on the island, Maldives International Marathon was held on the 9th and 10th of September in Hulhumale Central Park, Male. People of all ages and abilities participated in this event which gave an exciting exercise while experiencing the beauty of the island. The route fell through a captivating set of beaches and tropical lagoons, and each year, the marathon envisions engaging both local and international travellers through running and promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Most Maldives resorts including the beautiful Baros Maldives were likely to be fully occupied during the event days as most tourists preferred to take part in the run. Maldives tourism has been on its way to a rapid recovery since more exciting events occurred after the COVID restrictions were lifted. There will be many events in the last quarter of 2022 for tourists to enjoy their vacation to the fullest.
