Maldives Launches Mega Tourism Project – Multi-Island Integrated Leisure Destination

Maldives is at the top of many travellers’ bucket lists thanks to its scenic beauty. Considered by many as a dream destination, this country thrives on tourism. It is no surprise that you will have plenty to choose from when it comes to hotels and resorts. Dhaalu Atoll hotels the likes of Niyama Private Islands Maldives offer a plethora of water-based activities, all of which are attributable to the country’s geographic location.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the largest tourism development project ever to be managed in Maldives, the Emboodhoo Lagoon Project was organized by The Government of Maldives and it is estimated to cost US$ 800 million. The project is aimed at promoting the country as a recreation destination in order to attract more tourists to the island.
