Maldives Partners with Singapore Airlines to Promote Tourism – Giving the Sector a Boost

The Maldives aims to reach even higher where the tourism industry is concerned. There have been significant increases in the industry in recent times, so why not take is a step further? The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation have signed a one-year contract with Singapore Airlines to further better tourism in the country.

According to Singapore Airlines, each party has agreed to invest USD 180,000 in cash and USD 40,000 in kind to fund activities such as joint marketing campaigns, familiarisation trips, and road shows. These promotional activities are targeted at the 6 main markets which are Australia, China, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the United States. Currently, Singapore Airlines and the subsidiary SilkAir operate to and from Male 16 times a week opening more avenues for the Maldives. Luxury resorts the likes of Adaaran Prestige Vadoo are sure to benefit by this.
