Maldives Records 6500 Arrivals in a Day: Unlocking a New Milestone for Tourism

According to recent data from the Maldives Tourism Ministry, the island nation has seen a significant increase in tourism with daily arrivals reaching an impressive average of 6500. This constitutes a 10% increase from the same period in 2023 and suggests that the Maldives has significantly enhanced its appeal as a travel destination.

So far the island nation has welcomed 1.2 million tourists in 2024 and has thus reached 67% of its annual target of two million arrivals for the year. The month of August has seen more than 78,000 arrivals by the 12th alone, thus reflecting a continued trend of growth. The average length of stay during August has also increased to approximately 7.8 days. This indicates the quality of the various Maldives beach villas, resorts and hotels that provide the right comforts and amenities like Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas.
